About Radar
Radar is a curated tracker of current and upcoming exhibitions worldwide featuring African and Black diaspora artists. It covers solo shows, group exhibitions, art fairs, biennials, and institutional programmes, from major museums to emerging gallery spaces.
Radar is for anyone who wants to know where African and Black diaspora artists are showing. Curators, collectors, students, researchers, art tourists. Find what's on, where, and when.
How to use Radar
The main page shows all tracked exhibitions as cards. Use the filters to narrow down what you're looking for:
Status. Current (on view now), Upcoming (opening soon), or Past (closed but archived for research)
City / Country / Region. Find exhibitions near you or in a city you're visiting
Type. Solo shows, group exhibitions, art fairs, biennials, screenings, or performances
Admission. Free or paid
Mediums. Painting, sculpture, photography, installation, textiles, and more
Focus. This is how we classify the exhibition's relationship to African and Black diaspora art:
Dedicated. The exhibition is specifically about or by African artists
Diaspora. The exhibition is by or about artists of African descent from outside the continent
Significant. African or Black diaspora artists are a major presence, but the show is broader in scope
Featured. One or more African or Black diaspora artists are included in a wider international show

How it's built
Exhibitions are sourced from gallery websites, institutional press releases, art fair programmes, and curatorial networks. If you know of an exhibition that should be listed, we'd love to hear about it.
